Below are designed to provide healing opportunities in specific areas of wounding which are common to many because we live in a broken world. “Hurting people, hurt people” None of us is exempt from injury during our lifetime. Unaddressed wounds and unresolved pain diminish our life energy and we loose the desire to actualize our God-given talents inherent within us. Instead of thriving in life as God intended, we focus on survival techniques and attempt to minimize any further injury. This restricts our ability to form meaningful, healthy relationships and deepens our isolation and pain. The ministry menu presented at this time reflect the most common areas of wounding. Each ministry area will offer an opportunity to work through the most common issues related to that given topic. For some, these classes will be the beginning pathway to healing and restoration. Those with milder wounds may complete their healing journey during the course of the class. Others, with more severe wounds, may find it necessary to pursue additional healing avenues, including counseling. Wherever you are in life, God has made provision for healing – body, soul, and spirit
Our Counseling Ministry is designed to come along side you and support you during any critical periods of your life. During these times we all need assistance – sometimes we give assistance and sometimes we receive assistance. Gal 6:2 states: “Bear ye one an-other’s burdens, and so fulfill the law.” We also know that if one member of our body hurts, the whole body fills the pain. (3 John 1:2) The counseling team is trained and prepared to assist you in your time of need.
Following are listed some of the common areas of counseling:
We all enter this world helpless and innocent, so we think. Yet already at birth some infants suffer profoundly from the sins of their parents: Some infants are born with AIDS, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, drug related defects, etc. Others suffer less visible symptoms, but still suffer silently for a lifetime. Compounding the effects of others’ sins on our lives, within a few short years we see the presence of the Adamic Nature manifested in our own lives. This weakness within our nature makes us susceptible to the wiles and trickery of the Devil. Now we begin to reap the harvest for our own sins. Some have described having a sense of foreboding as a dark cloud hovering over them that brings misfortune and repeated setbacks. They are believers in God, but He seems distant and unresponsive. What they are experiencing is the lingering effects of sin that has not yet been healed. At salvation one’s spirit is redeemed and made new, but the effects of a sinful lifestyle requires more cleansing and healing. Apostle Paul calls this “working out your salvation with fear and trembling.” Phil. 2:12 In this seminar we will address the most common areas in which Christians need further healing to experience victory and a new identify in Christ. There will be teachings in these common areas followed by ministry. For some with deep wounds, additional ministry may be required.
