The SVCC prayer counseling ministry has several prayer counselors available to meet with those who are dealing with personal or family life challenges. The prayer counseling team is dedicated to providing a compassionate listening ear and sound Biblical advice. Prayer counselors use prayer and scripture to welcome God's presence into the healing process. At times, one session is all that is needed while other times the prayer counselor may suggests a series of follow-up sessions. Because prayer counseling is only one part of the overall ministry to individuals and families at SVCC, counselees are encouraged to participate in weekly worship services, equipping classes, conferences/seminars, and fellowship times at SVCC.

Who are the SVCC prayer counselors? The prayer counselors at svcc have received specialized training in prayer counseling, inner healing and theology. They have all received supervised training from within SVCC as well as from outside sources such as Elijah House, Communion with God Ministries, the American Association of Christian Counselors and other organizations. The pastoral staff and prayer counselors work together as a team to provide the highest level of compassionate and quality care.
Prayer counseling is not mental health care. SVCC does not perform psychiatric evaluations nor do we prescribe medication.
